BLACK

They were on their way back home when the car had a flat tyre. They stopped and got down to fix it. Then there was a drunken driver, a devil on the road, straight into them he drove, all three of them, brother, sister, sister,Gone...
Black.

The long awaited child came- bouncy n healthy and joy became a member of their household. Then sickness came and took d child on a journey of no return with joy following, leaving the parents to wait, once again, wait through the long dark night for joy to come again...
Black.

"Hand me your phone and bag or I shoot", he threatened as he had the life taking object pointed at her, but before all was done, "Bang!" went the gun, then all was done...
 Black.

A newly-wed, a husband to his beholder, Only a week after his wedding, he was attacked by the faceless. Another victim of the bullet- "bang! bang!! bang!!!", he was shot down...
Black.

It was time to bring forth the child... labour pains...the drive to the hospital...
then child birth...then child death, mother too...
Black.

Some people didn't do their jobs, therefore putting their lives at risk...to die in just a flight
beautiful people....lost...day becomes night...
Black.

Oh what greatness the earth consumes!

We all have, or know people who have lost people in these ways and more. It's always a sad event to lose someone, however, the bible says in Ecc.3, 'to everything there is a season...' and even though weeping may endure for the night, joy certainly comes in the morning (Psalm 30 v 5).
Then its BRIGHT... not BLACK.

PS. This one is for everyone who has lost someone dear at any point in time,
Especially for those who lost someone this June...
For the families of the Dana air crash victims,
       For John Johnson,
       For Fati Adedeji,
       Take heart.
